Current Progress: The Sphere of Light

As progress continues on The Sphere of Light, we’re excited to share an update on the stunning windows that have already been created for this monumental project.

Designed for the subterranean level, these key windows will narrate the creation of humanity, each carrying profound symbolism and meaning to reflect upon deeply.

Animus: The Beginning of Life

The first completed window, Animus, represents the origins of human life on Earth. The figure depicted appears almost as if molded from the ground. The life giving light illuminates his first breath. Wrapped by an infinity symbol that will continue around Anima (the next panel), the energy of connection between male and female and the whole human race is shown.

This piece sets the foundation for the journey told through glass in The Sphere of Light, with its partner window "Anima" soon to be completed.

Venturing: A Step into the Unknown

Venturing is a striking panel featuring two figures, a man and a child, walking towards the dark with their backs turned. This imagery captures the essence of exploration—stepping beyond the familiar and into the unknown, seeking new experiences and discoveries.

Illustrations that can evoke fear are shown as things to be faced and overcome. This includes the illusion that the cave itself is an open mouth with fangs. This windows reminds us of the human capacity to push through challenges.

Pillars of Creation: A Cosmic Perspective

Currently in progress, Pillars of Creation turns our gaze toward the vastness of space. This window prominently features the now iconic shape captured by the Hubble Space Telescope in 1995. Comprised of only gas and dust, the 3D image that inspired the theme of this window came from the James Webb space telescope in 2014. This art piece is infused with vibrant, celestial colors, emphasizes the wonder and mystery of the universe beyond our reach. It serves as a reminder of humanity’s deep connection to the cosmos.
